Licensing & Inspection Department Complaint Form

A complaint form has been established for our residents to fill out for any complaints and/or violations that you may have seen in your neighborhood or in town limits. This form is located under Permits & Forms. Fill out the mandatory fields on the complaint form and submit the form via mailing, dropping off to the Town Office, or emailing directly to inspections@clayton-delaware.com. Please Note: Complaints and/or violations will only be addressed pursuant to adopted codes and ordinances of the Town of Clayton and will be administered following town policies and procedures.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a program that focuses on providing services to Veteran families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. It is the goal of the SSVF program to end homelessness among Veteran families. SSVF offers a wide range of services including case management and other supportive services. Qualification - A veteran, for SSVF purposes, is defined as a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service after training, and who was discharged or released there from under conditions other than dishonorable. Supportive Services Available - rent assistance, security deposit assistance, utility assistance, general housing stability assistance, or access to benefit enrollment. The Town of Clayton is a State of Delaware municipality situated mostly within Kent County, with some parts of its incorporated area within New Castle County. With recent annexations, the Town is approximately 2 miles by 1 ½ miles in size. A larger unincorporated area south of Townsend, west of Smyrna and north of Hartly, Delaware is also referred to as Clayton, but is not served by the municipality.
