The Clayton Police Department will be offering free home safety evaluations for all senior citizens residing in the Town of Clayton.
The evaluations will include a walk through for each home and surrounding property and provide suggestions relating to safety and security for the homeowners. The department will also provide assistance to senior citizens with selecting contractors for any extensive work or repairs that may be needed. A check list for the suggestions will be provided to the homeowner upon completion of the evaluation.
Although this program is being offered mainly to assist our senior residents, all requests will be considered by the department.
If you would like to schedule a free evaluation for your home, please contact the Clayton Police Department at (302) 653-8186.
We will check the following:
Exterior: walkways, stairs, railings, structure/foundation, doors/windows, electrical, landscaping, lighting.
